McNab/Braeside Deserves Strong, Respectful and Principled Leadership

I believe that it is time for change across the Council table and that is why I am running to be your next Mayor of the Township of McNab/Braeside. I am ready to dedicate the next four years to bringing stability to our staff team, rebuilding trust with all parts of our community, providing transparent and accountable leadership to Council, and restoring the community voice back into the decision-making process.

Born and raised in Renfrew County, Oliver is an engaged community leader, youth advocate, and volunteer who has worked in rural communities across Renfrew County for over a decade. From 2018 to 2022, Oliver served as one of the youngest municipal councillors in the history of the Township of McNab/Braeside.

As a municipal politician, Oliver championed community engagement, community safety and wellbeing, and supported programs that address the social determinants of health through organizations like the Arnprior and District Food Bank and the Greater Arnprior Community Council on Poverty and Homelessness. He also brings proven leadership experience through various volunteer roles, including with Arnprior Regional Health, United Way East Ontario and the Arnprior and District Food Bank.

Key Accomplishments:

  • Currently serves as the Board Chair of Arnprior Regional Health, our local health care services provider which operates the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital, Grove Nursing Home and Community Programs (Assisted Living Program, Adult Day Program, Seniors Active Living Centre).
  • Serves the community through work in the public service with a decade of municipal administration experience with the Town of Arnprior and the Township of McNab/Braeside complimented by labour market analysis experience with the Labour Market Group of Renfrew and Lanark and rural transportation experience with the Renfrew County Joint Transportation Consortium (RCJTC).
